Reporting a termination or suspension

Under Section 90.1(2) of the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA), employers must promptly report to the College of Paramedicine of Prince Edward Island (CPPEI) if they suspend or terminate a paramedic—whether the engagement was full-time or part-time employment, or external (e.g., contractor or consultant)—due to misconduct, incompetence, or incapacity. This notification must be made to the College's Council without delay.
